People all around the world thrive on gathering information helpful to their passions, work, creativity, and etc. One of the ideas for World Tree Circle is to facilitate a website where people everywhere can publicly post what they are doing and how, in order to help someone else that may be doing something similar. World Tree Circle has the potential to not only be an inspirational tool but also an educational one. When a user posts something similar to another users work or interests, that user will get a notification called a “sun ray”. If you are planning to start a club or group activity and you post on WTC publicly about it, the site can help you to find other people interested. You could request a “sun ray” for just about anything you post. The algorithm would be very simple. Similar to a search engine. It would use the words you wrote to find you similar posts from others. Perhaps, it would be better if the leaf holders specified which areas of interest they would prefer their “rays” to come from. This feature would enable the users to learn more about projects, ideas, and pertinent information happening all around the world while letting them tailor information to their specific interests. It could also be used as an open source forum.
Do you think before you act? I know, cliche`. But do you? Most of our actions are conscience. We have a thought, however brief, and then act on it in some way. I believe this is universal. We all have ideas. Big ones. Little ones. Some of us are geniuses. Some of us have tons of common sense. Others don’t. We all contribute to the chain of events that are Life. In all those jumble of ideas there are some truly amazing and some mundane. I have many of both every day. Don’t you?
Some people have AMAZING ideas and when implemented change the lives around them for the better. Even if only in a very small way. It still counts. Below are two videos. One is by a Group called Life Vest Inside (check them out here). The other is a commercial that has been circling Facebook about a man in Thailand, inspiring and making people smile. It’s just an insurance commercial. Or is it? I think it is the product of someone’s great idea that met with others who shared the same vision. This is something WTC is meant to provide more of. A place to help others and be helped. Make friends. Teach each other. There are people out there of every nationality that share the same creative ideas and dreams that you do. Wouldn’t you love to find a mentor, no matter where they might reside? Or think of how good it would feel to BE the mentor?
There may be folks out there that don’t feel inspired to help others. That don’t feel the tug at their heart when they see the smile on a face that, until that moment, had known only sadness. But for the most part, this world is FILLED with giving people. We just get carried away with our daily grind. We get so stressed about what WE are lacking that we forget that there are others with less. We get swept away in worries. Then, we see someone have an “Aha!” moment and spend the last bills in their wallet to buy a homeless person a meal. Or stop in our rush from point A to point B to put a smile on a fussy child’s face.
There are tons of sites on the web with this theme but we find most of them at random, rather than knowing where to look. What if all those organizations, people with ideas similar to our own, could be found in one place? What if there was a venue for us to meet and share ideas without having to pay anything? Even if that person or group was on the opposite end of the Earth? World Tree Circle is meant to do that. Help us gather a team of experts on electricity, water, or architectural design from the Renaissance. Whatever your interest, you can probably find at least one that shares your interests.
We’re looking for some of those people with great ideas to do something similar now. Help us bring the people of the world together in one “room”. Think how good each small act of kindness you see or do makes you feel. Now think how amazing you would feel if you were a part of making World Tree a reality…… Help us plant the seed that will grow in to the biggest, most friendly and comfortable tree with a branch made for each of us to call Home……
World Tree Circle (WTC) will provide a social network that includes translation software, video and typed chat and messaging center. We will be a conduit for people to be able to promote through monetary or physical contributions to any idea, event, organization or person that is willing to accept said funds. The purpose is to allow people the opportunity to make informed decisions on the entities that they wish to support and to be able to do this in a secure location with very little hassle. This is a way that people can follow, access, and asks questions about entities that they may want to support so that they may feel that their contribution is having the greatest impact.
We are all different and yet the same. People around the world vary so much in appearance, attitude, and attributes yet the common threads that bind us shine through. A perfect example of this commonality is farming. Each of these farmers are most likely striving for the same or very similar goals such as a better situation for the next generations.

Another way we are similar is our need to lift each other up. There’s a Gru here and there, but for the most part we can’t see others in need and not chip in when we know we can help. Below is a website that has been created to bring the “best of the best” together and lend a helping hand – or dollar.
We are a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world. Learn more about how it works.
One of World Tree Circle’s main goals or tools, is to link similar events and interests around the world, showing it really is a “small world after all.” The world is a big place, we don’t dispute that, of course. But despite her size, all of Earth’s Children share very similar hopes, dreams, ambitions….and daily practices. Take yoga, for example. Thought to have originated in India around 5000 years ago, it is now practiced in many countries like Argentina, Croatia, Japan, Africa, and the United States.
